PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Color Field Immersion is a psychedelic, some say hallucinatory experience.  Each audience member is blindfolded with semi-transparent masks, onto which shifting shapes and colored light is projected.  Flipping traditional ideas of spectatorship, audience members’ internalized experience becomes the location of the performance.

Standing Waves, Falling Air is a performance work that uses sheets of plastic, computer controlled fans, and synchronized light and sound to explore the materiality of wind and sound.  Large suspended sheets of plastic become massive flowing sails: fluid objects that make visible the patterns of wind that surround us to create a fragile yet unpredictable immersive choreography.
