An immersive audio-visual performance of live guitar and choreographed dance inside of Matthew Schreiber’s laser sculpture.
Patrick Higgins will present an immersive audio-visual performance of his latest album Dossier, featuring custom choreography by Monica Mirabile (FlucT) with Jes Nelson, Aaron Ricks and Tara-Jo Tashna. The performance will occur as an intervention inside of Matthew Schreiber’s laser sculpture, in which musician, dancers, and audience alike will become immersed in a transforming landscape of surround sound, motion, and live-triggered video materials. The piece engages with the alienation and inner emotional economy of contemporary digital life, its politics, erotics, and violence. Dossier was released in June 2018 on Nicolas Jaar’s Other People record label.
